Goal Setting
Big goals are built through small, consistent actions.
Goal setting gives athletes direction, but the goal itself is only the starting point. The real progress comes from breaking that goal down into smaller targets and building habits that move you toward it.
BUILD YOUR OWN GOAL PLAN
Now take what you learned and build your own plan.
Use the full Goal Setting Guide to work step-by-step through your long-term goal, performance goals, effort goals, and habits.
Print it out and complete it by hand. Keep it somewhere you can review regularly.
KEEP YOUR GOAL WITH YOU
Once you build the full plan, simplify it.
Our Wrestling Bag Goal Card gives athletes a small reminder of what they are working toward, what they need to improve, the habits they are building, and the mindset they want to carry with them.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR GOAL CARD
Option 1: Print Directly on a 3 × 5 Card
Set your printer to 3 × 5 in. and Actual Size / 100%. Print the front, flip the card according to your printer's feed direction, then print the back. Fill it out before laminating.
Option 2: Print and Cut
Print the provided file on normal paper or cardstock at Actual Size / 100%. Cut along the trim lines, align the front and back, then laminate it. Leave a small sealed border when trimming the laminate.
