💭 Mindset Monday 💭
Mistake: Letting the fear of failure keep you from trying new things in practice. Maybe it’s a move you’ve drilled but are scared to hit live… or a position you avoid because you don’t want to get scored on.
Why it hurts: If you only do what feels safe, you’ll never unlock your full potential. Champions grow by failing, adjusting, and trying again.
Exercise (at home this week):
1️⃣ Write down one fear in wrestling that keeps you from fully going for it (example: “I’m afraid to shoot because I might get sprawled on”).
2️⃣ Underneath it, write the opposite truth you want to live by (example: “Even if I get sprawled on, I’m learning how to fight through it”).
3️⃣ Keep that note in your wrestling bag or notebook so you can bring it into practice when the season starts.
⚔️ Lesson: Failure isn’t something to fear, it’s the path to growth.
